[Outages-discussion] [outages] flowroute outage ?

Onvoy had a significant SS7 issue on October 3.  Because the telecom property we had just acquired had all their SS7 links in the one Onvoy basket, all long distance was affected for several hours.

I don't even recall when/if we had any outage with our primary, Onvoy.  Flowroute calls me every year to see if we want to use them, but then that just reminds me of their outages and the fact that we don't have any with Onvoy.

Seems that way lately, however Flowroute has better uptime than most others, just judging from experience, they're also their own LEC and the DIDs themselves have never gone down for hours on end like when L3 or bandworst or some other LEC is having an issue. Personally I trust flowroute more than any wholesale provider for the simple fact that they actually provide the TNs themselves in addition to the trunking. Of course along with that comes the all your eggs in one basket issue, so when they're down, they're down hard.

from my AWS server i can reach it

from Webair Data center, i cant. flowroute says they are not receiving any traffic from us

 

and their support advised me that he was on the phone with someone else that reported a similar issue
