FWIW: We are Level3 voice customers and also had issues this morning. We worked with a Level3 tech who traced it to a Peerless handoff and attempted to route us around the problem. The terminating numbers that we were calling all routed or termed on Peerless. We didn’t get as much detail as provided by Izzy, but it seems our problems were likely related to the same incident between Peerless and Windstream.

the issue we experienced was audio quality issues from peerless network
issue was reportedly due to a fiber cut with windstream, not sure where the cut was. as of 12:40 EST it was restored.
