Good point. the value is certainly there in that aspect.   The me too's probably end up helping more than I've realized now that I think about it also.

I see downdetector as just another tool, along with the list. One's going to be from a user perspective and one from a operational/engineering perspective (usually - sometimes idiots like me can't help but do a dumb joke).

Both are very valuable. It's up to us to interpret the results. Sometimes there is a lot of "me too" on the list, but that's valuable too, right?

That's the issue I always have with downdetector, any site that doesn't load or has any issue can be reported which isn't always a decent gauge of an outage imo, but some of the comments are definitely worth the visit.

That's why I joined this group, to get the notices and traces from legit (somewhat 😂) people who are in the trenches like myself.

Am I alone in thinking this?

A bunch of sites are down according to downdetector.  Apple, FedEx, etc
