Most if not all of that is actually still available on the Live Journal original.
Though he lived a few miles from me for a while after that, I never actually got to meet Michael. He is a professional Snake Eater I gather. He is exactly the guy you wanted keeping your internet connection running. I'm a little surprised that never turned into a book.
