<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">One of our clients with a business fiber connection to AT&T began experiencing significant t packet loss and very high TTL response time around 9:30 central time this morning.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">While on the phone with AT&T, our client received confirmation of a failed AT&T backbone router in Illinois with no ETA for resolution. It took close to 5 hours for their service to be restored to an acceptable
 state (no packet loss and normal TTL response time). The support ticket with AT&T is still open. So far the connection has been stable and operating as expected.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<pre><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This morning we started seeing some very weird call behavior* that we really thought was carrier-related, but our carriers (AT&T and Lumen) said that they initially didn’t have any information about an outage.  Then later in the afternoon when things cleared up for us around 1:30pm Central, our account rep heard about some major network outage affecting Chicago.  We haven’t been able to get anything official like a master ticket or anything, but it sounds based on what I saw included in an email thread that there was something happening starting around like 8:30am Central and some cards were replaced around the 1:30pm timeframe but that they are still working to fully restore service.  Anyone got any information they can share?<o:p></o:p></span></pre>
