Not able to ping or query via dig to pdns01.domaincontrol.com.... pdns02 is responding though.
I'm getting 216.69.185.50 as the ip for pdns01

I seem to be getting a response via ping

Then, it is not a real outage: the point of having several DNS servers per zone is to allow one server to go down, without service interruption.
Which domain, by the way (most messages on this mailing list are very poor on details)?

Its responding to ping now and queries are no longer failing so it looks like like its restored.
