Seems the outage is having a downstream impact on the FAA/NWS as well:

MOCC( Dave) reports outage is at central office in Omaha, NB.

It is up to TELCO(Sprint) if sites are going to be cutover.

TELCO(Sprint) is working the issue at this time, according

to MOCC. No ETR is known at this time.

2202Z TUE DEC 13 2016

Numerous surface observations have been missing since 21Z from

across the United States. FAA MOCC reported that a fire at a

telco provider site in Omaha is the cause. No ETR is known at

this time.
