Tim, it's pretty huge. We were told they started splicing around 19:30 eastern, though this article implies restoration (at least in NYC) began earlier than that.

I was wondering if anyone has any information about the outage that Cox Communications is experiencing.  It is affecting me in Central CT, but the impression I have gotten from the customer service folks is the outage is fairly wide spread.
