FYI - from Saturday.
Resolution Update:
At this time, the issue has been resolved and your services should be restored. Windstream Network Operations teams worked with our hardware vendor to identify and correct software issues which impacted services. Specifically, the RPD process restarted on a couple Windstream Core Routers, which was related to a software issue. Windstream and the equipment vendor successfully completed a software fix to all Core Routers that were impacted last night during the maintenance window. Windstream Network Operations teams are currently monitoring to ensure continued stability.
Summary of Events:
If you are receiving this communication, your ticket with the Windstream Enterprise Repair Center is currently associated to a known network event. Windstream repair and operations teams engaged in determining the root cause of the problem. Windstream repair and operations teams reported loss of connectivity due to software issues. Our teams worked with our vendor to identify the root cause and corrected it last night during the maintenance window.
