We have found it depends on the feature sets you want and mainly on the 
number of users you want for the feature sets.  These costs typically 
are as expensive if not more than the switch itself.

In most softswitches you are talking 200 to 250k(Meta, Sonus, Nortel) to 
start for a moderate config and set of spares.

In most of these purchases there is always some flexibility depending on 
your circumstance.
