Greetings all,
Here in the state of Florida, Some agencies, Like Florida Highway Patrol
have dial-in numbers like "*fhp" (*347), Which can be called anywhere in
the state. or at least anywhere in the county.
I have a customer (Local sheriff's office) that would like a number like
this. Something like "*SCSO"
Anyone have any idea how I might go about doing this? I imagine it works
similar to 311 (Non-emergency dispatch) in that, Someone carries a local
translation that points it to a ten digit number. I service a few agencies
that already have this and simply porting the associated ten-digit dial-to
number moves their 311 dial-in service. However, I've never gone about
actually getting one of these numbers.
We're not facilities based, I'm purchasing wholesale SIP from a number of
the usual suspects.
