If you're handing off from a TA5k, the TA372 is ideal. If you don't want to drop coin on a 32 port DS1 PWE card (who does?) you can use an MX408e as an endpoint on the network side for the DS1s. The POTS on the ONT are SIP/MGCP. If you're talking about adding an ONT card to face the TA372 direction, that won't work - GPON is Master/Slave, you need an OLT to drive ONTs. -Paul On Tue, 01/28/2014 03:53 PM, Matt Yaklin wrote: > I was looking at a variation of your idea. > > http://adtran.com/web/page/portal/Adtran/product/1189608G1 > > The MX408e. > > 8 DS1 circuit emulated T1 interfaces > 4 10/100 ports > 1 SFP port for uplink to us. > > And can work in a p2p or point to multipoint configuration. > NEBS complaint for CO installation. > > I have so many TA6xx boxes laying around it is pathetic so there > are my POTS. > > It just seems QoS might be an issue as I would be relying on the > box to prioritize the emulated T1s and I am unclear how well it > does it.
