A question was brought up with me about Cisco 2621 dual fast ethernet
performance as a LAN gateway router. Cisco claims up to 25,000 pps.
With 1 connected route and 1 default route (simplest case), and a 400byte
average packet size, I calculate about 80Mbit/s of sustained throughput
(sum of both directions). Does this _seem_ reasonable, or just marketing
hype?
