I'd agree with your first statement, but that didn't work when I restarted the IIS, still had the access denied until I restarted WWW too. 

Things look good now.

Whenever you bounce IIS it takes down WWW.  Make sure it starts up again or none of your web pages will work.

Also make sure when you're done with the Unity SA you click the logoff  
link.   Unity SA only has 2 browser sessions max by default.

There are too many active sessions. I'm pretty sure that no one else is  
logged in since I am the only one to use it.
I have tried restarting IIS, that didn't help.
Any thoughts on how to fix this short of a Unity shut/start or a reboot?
