I'll have to try that out sometime. We've already purchased them and they're installed, but if we don't need them, perhaps we might just remove them.

Drop Loop current has worked well for us in the past for paging..

While we're on the topic, we were told to use the BOGEN TAM-Bs for our overhead paging because of disconnect supervsion.

However, I noticed on the VG248 that it has the following parameter and options:

Call supervision method: <none>, drop loop current, reverse polarity

  Would this have been enough?

If I have to use an FXS would a Vg224 work or would I need to hang it off the router ?

We have a Valcom page system and I have set up my FXO 2/0/0 ->
  !
  dial-peer voice 999200 pots
   application mgcpapp
   port 2/0/0
  !
However, when I dial I get a pause and a then a fast busy. I have set the port sub unit to the device pool, etc. I have a route for 89 as the page number. On the Nortel you dial 89 then 1 through 4 for the zones. Any thoughts?
