[cisco-voip] No More MTP Resources Available

Additionally check to see if you have "MTP Required" set for your H.
323 gateway. This setting will cause CM to allocate an MTP resource
for each call involving the gateway. The calls won't fail if no MTPs
are available but supplementary services (hold, transfer, etc) will
not function for that call.
Also note that if no codec is specified on an H.323 voip dial-peer
the gateway uses g.729. In this case calls to phones would work but
any time the gateway is conferenced or hits a g.711 only device a
transcoder will be required. In this case you can see reorder tone
played to one or more parties.

Subject: [cisco-voip] No More MTP Resources Available
Hey all.
We recently converted one of our gateways to H323 because we needed a
lot of POTS lines and Caller ID, and this appeared to be the only way
to do it.
Ever since, my CCM in the Windows Event Viewer, shows lots of
occurences of this message: "No More MTP Resources Available."
Occasionally, after this message, we will drop a call, or a phone
(oddly enough, in another location not attaced to the H323 gateway)
will unregister without warning.
Is the MTP resource issue related to the H323 thing? A friend told
me I can add more MTPs by simply installing the software on another
NT/Win2x server.
Anyone?
