As far as I know, the only way to have a device on a different load than the device defaults is to put the firmware you want into the device configuration page of the phones you want to keep at a different version. It's worked well in the past, and now, you can even present a list of devices that are not using the device defaults by going to Device > Device Settings > Firmware Load Information and looking to the right hand side for any devices that are not using the default load.

Subject: [cisco-voip] IP Phones/various firmware loads

Is it possbile to have different firmware loads for various models of the IP Phones in CCM 4.1. I have mostly 7960 and 7970 but I want to keep the remote site 7970 at current revision.

Also, I have a 7970 that is stuck on the upgrade splash screen I have tried erase and factory reset to no avail, does anyone have other tips to bring a 7970 back to life.

  THanks
  Bob
