You can also look at Call Manager Express in Fallback mode

Rune phones to central Call Manager and if the wan link drops which
should not be too often the phone will register to the CME in fallback
mode. Fairly new - gives you the added benefits of more features in
fallback mode compared with SRST and also the ability to PRE configure
additional features which can be usefull when a wan link goes down and
the phone go to fallback to the local branch.

A Chapter in the CME administration guide for unified CME explains how
it works.

WANClustering)

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are out there regarding remote
subscribers vs SRST.

For myself, the logistical nightmare of any upgrade seems to outweigh
the
downfalls of SRST's lack(?) of features and even then, it seems like
SRST is
gaining in supported volumes as well as feature offering.

What pros to a remote subscriber am I missing other than full feature
support (aside from those requiring write access like forwarding,
unforwarding)?
