[cisco-voip] AD integration and VPT

Speaking of AD integration, what do others think about the voice provisioning tool not supporting AD? I'm hoping this was a misprint in the documentation, but it's definately going to make us look hard at an LDAP (sun or netscape) integration.

Depends on the AD structure and how spread out the DCs are. If you
can avoid putting the search base at the root of the domain you'll be
much better off. Win2k3 AD will return a set of referrals for any
search from the root of the domain that will include hostnames that
DNS will resolve to any DC in the domain. If your CM in New York
picks that DC in Australia to query you're going to get very long
searches and services will start timing out.

  Hi,
customer has CCM 4.1(3)Sr2 with coresident IPCCX 4.0(2). He would
like to integrate directory with AD on Win. 2003 without SP1. I have
some testing in my lab but with AD on W2K and there was some issues
which I resolved together with TAC.

Do you know for any issues on the Win. 2003 systems. Any experiances ?

Thanks and have a great weekend
