[cisco-voip] Why is gARP enabled by default?

I thought it was for security reasons. So that a device only accepts an
ARP response if it originally sent the request.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Why is gARP enabled by default?

Does anyone know what reasons Cisco has for making GARP enabled by
default?

I can't see any useful purpose for it in a typical VoIP deployment.
Maybe for call recording or something like that - but there are better
ways to do that as well.

Thanks

Justin
