?
It seems that you have Virtual Templates configured for your interfaces for possibly a ATM circuit for ppp multipoint (QoS) features.

It also looks like you are having problems with the link because of the EIGRP statements in the logs.

Look at the main interface in question for errors "sh controll x/x" If this is a consistent then contact your ISP to get them to look at the line, if its random its still provider but its just taking random hits of the circuit being up.

Subject: [cisco-voip] virtual access down

Hi:

I have some questions. I hope you can help me.

In my work, we have 2 routers connected to spain. We use ip telephony, and some times we have problem with the calls.

When I see the log of the routers, I found problems in the interface virtual access(see the logs)

*Jul 31 01:12:25.319: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP(0) 113: Neighbor 192.168.112.1 (Virtual-Access2) is down: holding time expired

*Jul 31 01:12:56.807: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP(0) 113: Neighbor 192.168.112.1 (Virtual-Access2) is up: new adjacency

*Jul 31 01:12:56.963: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP(0) 113: Neighbor 192.168.112.1 (Virtual-Access2) is down: peer restarted

*Jul 31 01:13:01.651: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP(0) 113: Neighbor 192.168.112.1 (Virtual-Access2) is up: new adjacency

*Jul 31 12:36:42.448: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP(0) 113: Neighbor 192.168.112.1 (Virtual-Access2) is down: holding time expired

*Jul 31 12:36:54.564: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Virtual-Access2, changed state to down

*Jul 31 12:36:54.716: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Virtual-Access3, changed state to up

*Jul 31 12:36:55.564: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Virtual-Access2, changed state to down

*Jul 31 12:36:55.716: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Virtual-Access3, changed state to up

*Jul 31 12:36:57.232: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP(0) 113: Neighbor 192.168.112.1 (Virtual-Access3) is up: new adjacency

*Jul 31 12:51:00.340: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP(0) 113: Neighbor 192.168.112.1 (Virtual-Access3) is down: holding time expired

*Jul 31 12:51:42.504: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP(0) 113: Neighbor 192.168.112.1 (Virtual-Access3) is up: new adjacency

Ih the the problem was physical, I don`t saw any log reference interface serial down or protocol in interface serial.

WhatâEUR(tm)s the mean of âEURoeline protocol on virtual access downâEUR?

Regards.

Jean Paul.
