[cisco-voip] Unity 5.0 with failover - Primary server message playback delay

You're saying that when the failover is active, there is no delay? Check 
your DNS settings, I've seen similar behavior when one node was pointing 
to a non-AD DNS server. Verify that both have the same DNS config and 
that they are pointing to a DC that is in the same AD. Outside of 
that...there's no firewalls or ACLs between the primary and exchange, 
are there?
