hi guys..

so..for a quick review..

one thing is for shure..we must use hostnames without underscores for linux
based UCCMs..

i saw some guys reporting "catastrofic" situation meaning we need to do a
fresh install ( according to TAC )..atliest in previos versions..

cisco docs for upgrade to UCCM 6.1 states that we can change the hostname
and even ip address also..

matthew says he did it without problems..

so, i'm not shure what's the final verdict on this..

definetelly i managed to install the UCCM6.0 using DMA export file from
CCM4.2 which contanined underscores in the hostname..i enterd "normal"
hostaname..

i didn't made any "interventions" on the .tar file..to be hones i don't even
know how to do it..

install took a time but it finished..

everything from old configuration was there..

i'm accessing the administration and everything else..

but without licenses i cannot test it does it really works..

since this is staging and not real deployment, i'm not sending MAC address
of the server and the hash file to the licensing team beacuse i'm waiting
for new servers..

so to be honest i'm not shure what's the final verdict..

can we use DMA with CCM4.x with hostnames with _ or we must do a fresh
install..

hm..

thanx..

regards..
