I dont usually use the built in dialplans. I usually use the doc's from the
dialplan link above to construct my own.
Route filters are boring. :) But it really depends on how complex your
install is.

Also there is usually a lot of good info on Wikipedia. Search for telephone
numbering plan for the country you are interested in.

And also look up the telecoms regulator for the country you want. Places
like UK, Ireland have very good information, resources and documentation on
the plans that you can download.

You can also ask the local telco, sometimes they have their own documents
with the prefixes / lengths etc.

Even if you do end up using the dialplans.. it's a good idea to understand
the numbering of the country for troubleshooting purposes.
