[cisco-voip] RS: RS: Update all phones with "Owner User ID"

Could you provide a link to creating some basic scripts, such as the one you mention below? I have updated parameters using the java method, I'm just wonder if there is some good documentation out there.

Thanks!

Nope if you use AXL.. you would write a script / program to do all the hard work.

It just loops through taking your parameters from a CSV file.. creating a SOAP request.. and sending it to the CallManager server.

"updatePhone" is one of the supported AXL SOAP methods for making changes to the CallManager database via the AXL API.

Cheers,

Tim

But I have to do it one by one isn't it?

Hi Ruben,

You would need to use CallManagers AXL interface probably.

You need to write a script or program to send a SOAP request to the CallManager for each update you wish to do.
It could read in the input - i.e. device name and ownerID from a CSV file.

Cheers,

Tim

Hello,

with this option you can use a CSV to do a selection of the phones yo want to update, but then it appears a menu with the fileds you want to update, but there's no way to put different values to the different phones: you'd put the same alue for all of them.

Is there any of doing this modification for all the phones?

Regards,

Ruben
