[cisco-voip] QRT shows phone to phone calls as g.722

Nevermind; answered my own question:

CVTQ does not support wideband (7 kHz) speech codecs, as ITU has not defined the extension of the technique to wideband. Therefore, MOS scores that correspond to G.711 performance are reported for G.722 calls to allow basic quality monitoring, rather than not reporting an MOS score.

Subject: [cisco-voip] QRT shows phone to phone calls as g.722

Hi All,

I am trying to troubleshoot a ccm6.x where users are complaining of calls to other users on the LAN are fading in and out.

When looking at the QRTs both source and receiver codecs for the 7942s are showing up as G.722; though they are defined to use G.711 to each other.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it just cosmetic?

Any help is much appreciated!

Jan
