[cisco-voip] linksys switches with cisco ip phones !!!

hi group..

 

 

i've heard from colleague of mine that the only way to make linksys PoE
switches to work correctly with cisco IP phones it as follows:

 

to configure manually on the cisco ip phone administrator vlan to be voice
vlan..

to configure manually on the cisco ip phone PC vlan to be data vlan..

 

 

he said that's the only way to make it work for phone and PC attached to
it..

otherwise only voice works on particular port..

so for 200 phones it would be a painfull job to do it manually..

 

 

sounds weird and absolute..

 

 

i know..i know..buy cisco switches..

and i would BUT..we have a situation here..
