I just noticed something. I thought UCM6.X required 12.4(15) and above
for the IOS code. Check the Cisco UCM Compatibility Matrix.

No ip hosts are configured in the router.
Although I thought about adding a "ip host lonccm1 192.168.174.10" if I
can't fix this!
After typing this I went ahead and added the ip host entry in IOS and
ccm-manager registered. I'll keep the workaround in place.

Is there a line like ip host in the config with the router IP and
hostname?

What am I doing wrong to keep getting a hostname instead of IP address
in running-config, I have no ip domain-lookup
CallManger 6.1.2BE with IOS c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-9.T7.bin

Show run gives this;
mgcp call-agent lonccm1 2427 service-type mgcp version 0.1
GSMALONC2821#show ccm-manager
MGCP Domain Name: lonccm1.local.voip
