[cisco-voip] Unity Digital Networking (can it handle overlap?)

Alternate extensions are only locally significant, they aren't
replicated out through digital networking. So, you'd be fine if
everything was on a single Unity server, but otherwise, it won't work.

Switching everyone (in Unity) to 10 digit extensions will definitely
help. You shouldn't/can't have overlapping extensions in the same
dialing domain.

Another possible option is using the location prefix, but making it
whatever the site code or area code is, and having the users use those
numbers instead. It really accomplishes the same thing as switching to
10 digit and using the voicemail profile masks, just a different way to
get there, so, either way :-)
