[cisco-voip] Stop SNR on transferred calls

I saw this e-mail the other day. I too am having this issue. Was it
ever resolved?

Can a call be answered on a SCCP phone and then by hitting the
"transfer" or "Direct Transfer" to an SNR(Mobile Connect) number that
when the call makes it to the Cell phone it is the caller id of the
original calling party and not the phone the initiated the transfer?

Thank you.

How does the operator perform the transfer now? Using the IP Phone, or
using something like Attendant Console?

If using something like Attendant Console you can go to "Transfer"
instead of "Consult Transfer" and the call will be extended directly to
the destination with the original calling party CallerID.

If you used Unity to transfer, then this ccm service parameter would
come in handy: Display Original Calling Number on Transfer from Cisco
Unity

If you can convince the operator to complete the transfer QUICKLY (as
soon as ringback is heard) then we can modify the "Delay Before Ringing
Remote Destination" parameter on the Remote Destination. If the operator
has finished transferring before we start start ringing the cell phone,
then the callerID sent out externally will be that of the original
calling party.

Let me know how that works for you.

Yes I understand it is working as designed and that it is doing exactly
what it is suppose to do I was just looking for an option or a setting
to change. How can I try the direct transfer?

Would the behavior be different if the operator used a Direct Transfer
instead of a consult transfer?

With a consult transfer it really is a new call to you from the
operator, so the operator's callerID is the correct info to display.

I have Single Number Reach setup and working great. The only thing I
don't like is if someone calls the main number and the operator
transfers a call to my desk IP phone. It will ring my cell phone with
the main number as the caller-id instead of the original caller number.
If the caller were to call my DID line directly it would show their
caller-id on my cell phone. Is there any way around this? Can I stop SNR
on transferred calls? I could set a deny ACL for the operator extension
but I do want her to be able to call my extension and get my cell phone
so that is not the best option. Thanks.
