[cisco-voip] Old Legacy Attendant console

AXL is only used for the setup of SuperProvider (CTI function), so that you can tie DNs to MAC addresses. If you're looking at doing this yourself, I'd start with the CTI/TSP Developer Guide on CCO, and look for the "SuperProvider" section along with "device monitoring". Don't try and do it the way the old CAC did - you cannot get access to this code (even as Arc, we couldn't!) and it will be going away shortly anyway - so the advise would be use CTI

Bear in mind that if you're going to run a productized app against CUCM, you should go through IVT certification for TAC support, so bear this in mind before you overload a CUCM (too many CTI requests can cause CUCM stability issues)

That does help, but I thought you are limited to 1800 axl requests a minute or something like that.

I am looking a writing a similar thing in a new program, and it is helpful to know the best way to do it. If you have any ideas that would be great.

The old CAC used something called the "Line State Server", which was essentially a Cisco proprietary interface using TCD & accessing the database

The new AC's use CTI (TAPI), with a bit of AXL in there too for SuperProvider support

Hope that helps

Does anyone know what it uses to get the status of the lines in the old (and possibly new) attendant console is it TAPI/AXL/Something Else? As shown in the picture below.
