[nsp] ISDN callback

Hi,

I am working on a Cisco router 1750, with the IOS version 12.1(2)T.

I logon this router via an ISDN line and using the “callback” feature.
I wrote this as a global configuration:

Username toto callback-dialstring 1234567890 password glouglou

And , also, my windows machine is configured to accept incoming call.

Now, using the same configuration on the BRI interface, I am trying to get an ISDN connection without the “callback” feature, and this failed. On the router I wrote this:

Username toto nocallback-verify password glouglou

And, I configured my windows machine to refuse incoming call.

So I would like to know why I simply couldn’t use this following BRI configuration without calling back the remote peers:

interface BRI0
 ip unnumbered FastEthernet0
 encapsulation ppp
 dialer callback-secure
 dialer idle-timeout 900
 dialer enable-timeout 10
 dialer load-threshold 1 either
 dialer-group 1
 isdn switch-type basic-net3
 ppp callback accept
 ppp authentication chap
 ppp multilink
!
map-class dialer class1
 dialer callback-server username
dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit

Regards,

Christophe
