Unfortunately yes.
It would be nice if this, and various other bizarre behaviour,
disappeared when "ip classless" was configured, but it doesn't.
It would also be nice if entering "/17" or whatever was always
a substitute for a netmask, but if Cisco made these things too
easy to use, I guess we'd be out of a job.
