Hi,
 
I am posting here the solution that I used to set up the connection.
 
I used a console cable to connect the switch's console port (RJ45) to the router's aux port (RJ45).
 
Then I configured the router's aux port this way:
 
 line aux 0
 no exec
 flowcontrol none
 stopbits1
 transport input telnet
 transport output none
 
Then from the router I get a connection to the switch via its aux port by doing a reverse telnet, where 10.0.0.1 is an IP address of the router:
 
 telnet 10.0.0.1 4005 /noecho
 
And that's it.
