I kinda doubt that the *hardware* is any different than a single
PA on a VIP, except a different "device type" programmed into
EEPROM somewhere, which allows it to load a striped/fastpath
version of the VIP microcode... The next higher level software
probably doesn't know the difference.

Dunno if the new GEIP+ is the same way or like some of the other IP's,
just bone stock VIP pseudo-mated with a PA. a couple on order, but
nothing showing up yet.
