[nsp] OLD-CISCO-INTERFACES-MIB deprecated?

Hello all!

I have been informed by cisco that the OLD-CISCO-INTERFACES-MIB is being
deprecated in IOS 12.0 and is due to be phased out.

Cisco says that this MIB is replaced by a combination of the IF-MIB (basic
MIB2) and the CISCO-QUEUE-MIB. I don't see how this allows me to find out
how many bytes transmitted on an interface were DECNET or Vines (for
instance) as opposed to IP or IPX, however.

Does anyone have any suggestions for collecting per protocol interface
statistics other than RMON since this is going to be gone soon?

Thanks,

Scott
