Does anyone have any experience they could share about
which IOS switching-paths are selected in the presence
of unusual router configurations on the Cat5K RSM/RSFC
and/or the 7500 series RSP/line-cards. I am thinking
specifically of:
* Packets routed via Loopback interfaces used as
GRE tunnel source and/or destination interfaces.
* Packets routed back out of the same interface
they were received on when CEF and/or Netflow
are configured on the interface but 'ip route
-cache same-interface' is not.
* Packets received on an interface configured
with CEF, Netflow, and inbound/outbound IP
access-lists.
* Packets routed to the Null interface with a
static route when CEF is enabled on the RSP.
* Packets routed to a Loopback interface with
a static route when CEF and/or Netflow are
configured on the interface.
Thanks,
M.
