Dear Cisco-NSPs,
though it appears that the high pressure for a migration has somewhat
relaxed (if dCEF prooves to work reliably in our environment), we are
looking into various upgrade paths for our core routers.
Currently our core network is based on 2 resilient ATM-PVCs to every POP
location (per-destination load-shared). We are most probably changing
our core technology to POS or GbEth over lamda or something else next
year, however, we will need to still support ATM for quite some months.
Therefore my question: has anybody ever tried to migrate from a
Cisco750x with PA-A3-OC3 platform to a GSR with LC-4OC3/ATM and/or
LC-1OC12/ATM ? Only max-shaped UBR/PVCs involved in our setup. Mostly
one PVC per SubIf, one multipoint SubIf with 6 PVCs.
Any comments appreciated !
Kind regards
CP
