    Small update:

    Well, grmbl, the update file did contain an "mtu" command for a
    subinterface, reading

    carefully tells you
    
    "Caution! Changing an MTU size on a Cisco 7500 series router results in
    recarving of buffers and resetting of all interfaces. The following

    Nice feature for a core device ... :-(
    
    No news about the VIP-4/80+PA-A3-OC3 crashes yet, I'll keep you informed !
