I recently installed a PIX 515 and configured it via the local
terminal interface. I disabled telnet and enabled ssh. The device
appears to be working fine except that when I ssh in and try to issue
a "show configure" or "write mem" I get the error "The flash device
is in use by another task." The only documentation I can find from
Cisco is that this error should appear if two administrators are
logged in and issue this command simultaneously. I can't find any
evidence of other sessions and I would expect that any sessions
somehow left open would have timed out by now (days later). Has
anyone run across this before? Any suggestions for clearing this
state short of issuing a reload?
