Hi,

you require more shared memory. Your cisco already has 16mb of main
memory. The 4000 requires another 16mb simm for shared memory where
it keeps its packet buffers.

show version should give you this:

cisco 4000 (68030) processor (revision 0xB0) with 16384K/16384K bytes of
memory.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Processor board ID 5056256
G.703/E1 software, Version 1.0.
Channelized E1, Version 1.0.
Bridging software.
X.25 software, Version 2.0, NET2, BFE and GOSIP compliant.
Primary Rate ISDN software, Version 1.0.
1 Ethernet/IEEE 802.3 interface.
31 Serial network interfaces.
1 Channelized E1/PRI port.
Greetings
Christian
