Yeah, I have soft-reconfiguration set. It's okay now, I think. What I
had to do was delete the access-list, re-create it from a backup and
reload each one and verify it. clear ip cache each time I soft cleared
the neighbor aswell. Weird. I'll do some mucking around in the next
couple of days and post to Cisco if their is still a problem. I checked
on the site, and their is one thing there about route-maps but not
pertaining to the problems I was having. Can't remember what it was, nor
can I remember the bug ID either. Oh well.

:Perhaps a silly question, but... do you have "neighbor x.x.x.x soft-reconfiguration inbound" configured for the peer, else the "cle ip bgp xxx soft" probably won't do much good :-) If not, I'd suggest a "clear ip bgp x.x.x.x".
