FDT used to have major problems with our link to UUNet that were almost
definitely caused by the above. It's not been happening recently, so
perhaps there's been an upgrade to a fixed version. Last I talked to
UUNet, nobody there seemed to know what the problem really was or when it
might get fixed. Their only suggestions were to buy another link from
them because we were "using our current T1 too much". Gee...if I can't
fill one T1 without it dying, why would I buy another?
