Vijay,

Two things.

You referred to OSPF/IS-IS/BGP. I am not talking about routing protocols. I am asking about signaling protocols for TE (specifically RSVP-TE and CR-LDP).

And I don't think you are right in assuming "..The wavelength, VPI/VCI, DLCI, shim label days are essentially OVER...". Guess that's a sweeping statement ! Do you have some reasons to feel this way ? I feel still careers rely on ATM for providing the type of QoS it does ! And I feel "wavelength" days are definitely not "over" (not for those long-haul optical carriers).

Lets be realistic here, chances of a router (juniper or otherwise) talking
with a router/switch which supports anything other than The wavelength, VPI/VCI, DLCI, shim
label days are essentially OVER ospf/isis/bgp and
RSVP-TE are fairly remote, and hopefully, thanks to the telcom meltdown,
should be getting remoter by the day. for the short term future and not a day
too soon.

AKA, I don't think this lack of support of CR-LDP is going to be a major
concern going forward.

thanks

have a nice day
