RE: [j-nsp] OSPF default information originate?

Hitesh,

Forgive my ignorance, but is it necessary to create static
route 0/0 and then 'redistribute' it to OSPF, or can I somehow
generate route and export it into OSPF?

If I need to create static route what would be a next-hop for it?

I have noticed that JunOS doesn't like route pointing to itself
loopback address.

Thanks for help,

Przemek.

PS.
Ideologically I like an idea of processing all routing information
in a single place, but unfortunately actual implementation is like
programming. And it is hard to learn how to program if the only
source of knowledge about programming language is 'language report'
-- JunOS documentation in this case.

My personal opinion about how to learn to program is that you need
to read and analyze many different programs in any given language,
just to create your own "style" by compiling other programmers "styles".

In language so unorthogonal like JunOS policy language,
there are so many different ways to do things (isn't it PERLish ? :-)
that it would be extremely beneficial for freshman like me to see
how others are doing things.

Do you think that there are some resources available to see how
others are doing things? CP^JAN please :-)

Hi,

As far as I know, Junos 4.x do not have this I donot know about 5.0).

The way around is to create a policy for route 0/0 and export it in to ospf
area 0.

This should work.

Please correct me if I am wrong or if anyone know better way of doing this,
let me know.
