Hi Edson,
The command is good. Can you copy a file from RE1 to RE0? Try that.
Make sure that you have an IP address specified for RE1. If you are not
sure how to go about doing this, see:
http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/junos51/swconfig51-getting-started/
html/chassis-config12.html. Also, issue the command "show system storage"
and make sure that you see a /tmp, /var and /config directories. It should
look like this:
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/ad0s1a 65687 26563 33870 44% /
devfs 16 16 0 100% /dev/
/dev/vn1 9304 9304 0 100% /packages/mnt/jbase
/dev/vn2 1458 1458 0 100%
/packages/mnt/jcrypto-5.0R2.4
/dev/vn3 792 792 0 100%

/dev/vn4 8406 8406 0 100%
/packages/mnt/jkernel-5.0R2.4
/dev/vn5 11404 11404 0 100% /packages/mnt/jpfe-5.0R2.4
/dev/vn6 5724 5724 0 100%
/packages/mnt/jroute-5.0R2.4
mfs:181 1015815 3 934547 0% /tmp
/dev/ad0s1e 25263 2 23240 0% /config
procfs 4 4 0 100% /proc
/dev/ad1s1f 9811371 40034 8986428 0% /var
If you don't have a /tmp file mounted chances are that the hard-drive was
not found on the boot-list during boot up. You will be able to see this in
your "show system boot-messages". It will look like this:

is

Subject: Problems copying re0 to re1
All,
I'm having problems trying to copy the config files from re0 to re1
according the orientations below:
user@host> file copy /config/juniper.conf re1:/var/tmp/copied-juniper.conf
I always receive these errors:
error: put-file failed
error: could not send local copy of file.
BTW, the file copy to a FTP is working very well.
Any ideas ???
