[j-nsp] commit errors?

when i run # commit, i am seeing these errors now...any input on what happened? i have been playing around a little, but dont know what i did

error: /etc/passwd is not a symbolic link
error: file failure for /var/etc/master.passwdpreprocessing
error: foreign file propogation failed during
