OK, but that's the special case inside a policy-map, and the bandwidth
clause does NOT *limit* the bandwidth (that's "shape") but ensure a
minimum bandwidth.
I was referring to the general misconception that
interface <something>
bandwidth <number>
has any effect on the rate of the data flowing through that interface -
it hasn't, it's just to tell routing protocols like EIGRP how fast that
interface is (to calculate metrics based on that).
