24 Hour Timer

Interesting title huh?

I have two of the Heathkit SB-630 station consoles with iffy 24 hour timers
on the flip clocks.  One runs most of the time, one runs but get HOT!  They
were made by Pennwood Numechron  of Pittsburgh PA and look like the timers
you see on refrigerators today.  Anyone have suggestions on replacements?
What about disassembling the timers?  Looks like the back side is soldered.
 No obvious way to oil anything.   Thanks in advance and 73,
