Did you catch the BC-1000s on the beach and the
BC-659 in the rubble at the bridge during the last scene?
It was the square green box with the cable hanging out.
I don't normally pay much attention to Speilburg movies,
because he beats the left-wing and Zionist drums so hard.
"Amastad" was a disgrace. But I went to see this one
because so many veteran's organizations said it
"finally told the truth" about the gawd-awful
horrors my father's generation had to conquer.
My father was 4th Division, 12th Infantry and lived
through that hell. Ask someone about Hertgen Forest
sometime. He was right in the middle of it when the
German 88s shelled the wounded in the field hospital
in the bomb crater. When I left the movie, the
first thing I wanted to do was drive 350 miles
just to see my daddy and tell him I love him.
If you've ever wondered why some of us want to
preserve BA military equipment, one of the big
reasons is to honor our fathers and preserve
a part of their history.
